The project brief was to remodel the existing entrance to the apartment and to enhance and design the entire top floor. To create a sense of continuity in the dwelling in relation to the redesigned attic, two basic changes were proposed: relocation and redesign of the main staircase, which accentuates the entire entry area, and a redesign of the attic, which was conceived as a partially landscaped roof deck with the amenities of an outdoor pool, barbecue, and roofing.
