The idea was to create an urban structure that becomes a whole. The inspiration came from Vjenceslav Richter’s « MORPHOCODE ». The concept for this particular project was to create a symbiosis between the large nearby Bundek Park and the American school, the Croatian school and the kindergarten building. The project solution of the American school in Zagreb was born from the inspiration to create an introverted system that is durable and controlled. The American school required a high level of isolation from the public for security reasons, which led to the design of the high, green fence. The exterior natural green fence is designed to be a dynamic fence that changes its natural colours throughout the seasons. All spaces were designed to be flexible so that all contents could be used in a multifunctional way, which was the main requirement of the given program.
