The concept for this 135 m² apartment in the heart of Zagreb was to blend the historic charm of a classic city apartment with a modern, functional lifestyle. Special attention was given to the high ceilings, which enhance the sense of space and airiness, and the open concept layout that seamlessly connects the living room, dining area, and kitchen into a fluid, light-filled environment.

Original architectural details – moldings, wall borders, and profiles – were carefully preserved to maintain the apartment’s authentic character, while contemporary materials and minimalist furniture bring a sense of ease and modern elegance. Herringbone wooden floors, thoughtfully selected lighting, and modern furnishings create a harmonious balance between past and present, allowing every corner of the space to breathe.

The goal of the concept was to design an interior where high ceilings and an open layout emphasize spatial fluidity, while combining aesthetics, comfort, and functionality – the perfect balance between tradition and contemporary urban living.
