Villa in Sveti Petar u Šumi _ A Dialogue Between Architecture and Nature

Located in the heart of the Istrian landscape, this three-bedroom villa is designed as a harmonious dialogue between contemporary minimalism and local tradition. The guiding idea was to create a home that blends naturally into its surroundings – through simple forms, thoughtful spatial organisation, and carefully selected materials.

The open-plan ground floor seamlessly connects the living room, kitchen, and dining area into one fluid, light-filled space, extending outwards through large glass surfaces. The exterior features a private swimming pool, a sun deck, and a beautiful covered terrace with an outdoor dining area – perfect for relaxing and enjoying the natural setting year-round. A private spa with a Finnish sauna is also integrated into the layout, offering a peaceful retreat for rest and regeneration.

The project is defined by natural materials – wood, stone, microcement, and metal – that together create a warm, tactile, and authentic atmosphere. The architecture remains understated and sensitive to its context, blurring the boundaries between indoors and outdoors and allowing the occupants to live in harmony with the surrounding landscape.
